The Allana Series for Schools & Institutions

Financial Education Is About More Than Teaching the Numbers.

The Allana Series uses story to help young people and families explore the decisions, beliefs, responsibilities, and conversations that can shape their financial lives across generations.

Because before young people can build wealth, they need opportunities to understand what they’re building it for.

The educational approach

Financial Life Readiness Often Starts With the Tools. Allana Starts With the Thinking.

Why do our choices matter?

Financial tools matter. But young people also need opportunities to understand the beliefs, decisions, relationships, and responsibilities surrounding those tools.

The Allana Series uses story to help begin those conversations.

Some Lessons Are Easier to Understand When You Can See Them Unfold.

A definition can explain a concept.

A worksheet can test understanding.

But a story allows a reader to see choices, consequences, relationships, setbacks, growth, and responsibility unfold over time.

Through Allana’s journey, readers can explore financial and legacy concepts through the life of one person as she moves from adolescence through adulthood.

This gives educators, mentors, parents, and program leaders a starting point for conversations that might otherwise feel abstract or difficult to begin.

One Character. Six Life Stages. A Multigenerational Perspective.

Rather than looking at financial decisions at a single moment in life, The Allana Series allows readers to see how priorities, responsibilities, and legacy questions evolve over time.

Youth programs

Use the stories in mentoring, leadership, life-skills, after-school, summer, and youth-development environments.

Family engagement

Create opportunities for students and caregivers to continue selected conversations at home.

Book clubs & reading groups

Use individual books or the complete journey for facilitated group discussion.

Financial life readiness initiatives

Pair the stories with existing financial education programs to add a human and multigenerational perspective.

Community & faith-based programs

Use the series to support conversations about responsibility, stewardship, family, purpose, and legacy.

The Conversation Doesn’t Have to Stop With the Student.

Financial beliefs and behaviors don’t develop in isolation.

Young people learn from what they hear, observe, experience, and discuss within families and communities.

The Allana Series creates opportunities to extend selected conversations beyond a classroom or youth program.
